Got started on this a couple of days ago. The guild I belong to here in Salt Lake is having an in-house contest in the middle of November. This will be my entry. It is going to be based on a lowrider I used to see in East Los Angeles when I worked there. It was at nearly every Sunday night cruise on Whittier Blvd. I love the look of it. So far I have the parts prepped and have primered all of them. I hope to get the body color (Testor's Purple-Licious) layed on today weather permitting. I'll try to get some progress shots and post them tomorrow.

Made some progress on the lowrider last night and this morning. Got the first coat of Purple-Licious on before the wind came up. The chassis and the engine are coming together. Got the front end pretty well done. Got the distributor drilled out and the wire epoxyed in. Hopefully I can get it wired tonight and finish the drive train.

Hey John, nice paint. Is it from a Rattle Can or Air Brush? Great job.

Hey John, nice paint. Is it from a Rattle Can or Air Brush? Great job. It's a Testor's rattle can; Purple-Licious Enamel. I think the thing that let me get such a smooth coat is that I primered with Plasti-coat Sandable Gray primer first and sanded it with 2000 grit.

Got the chassis completed tonight with the exception of the carburators. Also got the interior done. I'll get them together tomorrow hopefully.
