This is really interesting Eddie. This is the first time I've seen this done from the beginning. I would really like to have you continue the detailed photos. We can learn a lot from them. This may be your first time, but it looks like you know what you are doing.

Looking cool! What putty are you going to use? I am using a 2 part bondo type now as I have had no luck with the others. The seam lines always show through on me.

I like anything AWB. Havent seen it done to a merc so should be cool. Just a note-I've had really good luck using 3m glazing putty to fill body seams etc... then lite coats of "fill" or "high build" primer to sand out any small imperfections. Good Luck!

Hey Rodger Ed and I was told to use a filler coalled icing. That is from the guy showing Ed how to do this type of body work. Hope this helps you.

Guys here are more pics of the Merc. I want all to know, I have used no filler on the wheel wells. It is almost ready for paint. I have used a new primer, some probably already have used it. Its Dupli-Color Filler Primer. Its the high build formula. The guy from the model club has been teaching me a lot. Here you go John more pics of the wheel base alter. I think its going well. Eddie. ;D ;D

It's looking really good Eddie. How does that primer do when it comes to covering details? I can see how it is valuable for filling gouges and such, but I worry about body details you want to keep.

I have only used it on the Merc John. I'm not sure how it would work on that. Eddie.
