It has been too cold to pour the plaster for the floor of the building so I have been working on detail parts for the diorama. I finished one of the work benches this evening and thought you guys might like to see it. We have one more storm moving through tomorrow night and Wednesday. After that we will be in the high 50s and low 60s for the next week and I will be able to get work done on the diorama base.

I haven't been able to work on the diorama for a couple of weeks due to some surgery, but should be able to get back on it after today. While I was not able to do the work on the dio proper I did do some more detail work. I finished another bench. I have been searching for a period correct Coca Cola cooler without success so I decided to scratch build one. The cooler is constructed of styrene. It is finished with a Krylon glossy red paint. It was then aged with a thinned rust colored paint, Bragdon powders and a wash of alcohol mixed with Kiwi Shoe Dye. The Coca Cola logo is a photo from the net that was resized in PhotoShop and printed on plain copy paper. It was then applied to the cooler with white glue. The whole thing was then sealed with a flat clear. I should be able to get back to work on the diorama proper after today and hope to have something to post in the next few days.

Made a couple of changes on the outhouse. The door now opens and exposes the inside which is fully provisioned for the next user.

I finished the diorama today with the exception of the hose on the gas pump. I will be busy over the weekend so I thought I would declare this done and get it posted. This was an enjoyable build for me and I hope you guys liked it.
