Yesterday was a long day. Had to leave an hour early for model club because Hobbytown USA was having a model contest. On the way to model club, I dropped 3 of my builds off at the contest. Went to model club and stuffed envelopes for our handout packets for NNL East next week. Then I stopped back to see how I did in the contest after model club. I got best in class for my Jungle Jim Tribute. They gave me a printout to take home while they make the plaque. My 32 Ford got a 1st place ribbon, and my 84 GMC got a 2nd place ribbon. The owner of the shop came up and told me what a fantastic job I did on all my models, and told me I cleaned up. Maybe it gets old to some, but it never gets old to me when someone praises my models and acknowledges the time spent on them. And I was lucky enough to pick up a Harley Davidson Panel from my good buddy Dave. It was a long day, but a good day.
