I went to my club meeting this evening and one of the guys gave me this kit. It is missing the engine and he had no further interest in it. Go figure! Anyway, this is my next build. I will be getting started on it this week. I'm not going to build the Ed Roth version though; I will probably hot rod it as I have a Revell Parts Pack Ford 427, courtesy of Eddie. that should fit easily. THANKS FOR THE ENGINE EDDIE.

I'm making some progress on this one. Got the parts prepped and ready for paint. Waiting for clear warmer weather to get-r-done. I am making a custom bed for the truck that should, if it works out, look pretty good. The bed is a complete scratch build with the exception of the fenders. The rear of the bed extends below the frame of the truck and will have four 49 Mercury taillights and the exhaust outlets will extend through the rear of the bed. The floor of the bed will be real wood and the bed will be covered with a hinged toneau cover. I hope to get the bed finished over the weekend.
