I started this build over a year ago but it got stalled due to other builds. Now I'm at it again and it's almost done now. The main body/floorpan is from a Gunze 1/24 scale 1956 V-dub. I cut the fenders off and then I made a few more modifications to the body. I backdated it to 1938 year prototype specifications adn chopped the roof about 4". I shortened the body almost 4" (to avoid stretching the chopped roof), I sectioned the body about 1½" by cutting away material from the bottom. I dropped the body over the floorpan (channeled it) almost 3". The bomberseats were scratchbuilt from Evergreen sheet plastic. The instrument-panel in the rear compartment was found in my partsbox and somexhet modified. The Radio/telephone in the back is originally a TV-set from AMT Mercury 1949 but modified with some extra details. The round gas-tank in the front was scratchbuilt from plastic tubing and 2 hubcaps from an AMT 1957 Chevy. The wheels are from a Revell Hummer but reworked in the rear to accept 20" tires while the frontrunners are stock 19" with narrow "bike" tires. The front-axle was reworked to look like a 1938Prototype/1941 Kübel axle. I made the front wheels steerable. Here's a few pic's:
